When will the Apex Legends matches take place at the 2025 Esports World Cup?

This is the second year that Apex Legends is part of the Esports World Cup. On this season’s calendar, the tournament is scheduled for July 10 to July 13, featuring the Midseason Playoffs. In the gaming city, the stage for all 40 teams will be the Qiddiya Arena.

What is the format of the Apex Legends tournament at the 2025 Esports World Cup?

The group stage is the first phase of the Apex Legends competition, taking place on July 10 and 11. Two groups of 20 teams face off, with the top nine teams from each group advancing to the next stage. Those finishing lower will still have a shot in the Last Chance Qualifier on July 12, where the best-performing teams will grab the final spots for the knockout rounds.

The finals will also feature 20 teams, using the match point format, and will be played on Sunday, July 13. In other words, the first team to reach 60 points wins. Consistency is key for teams aiming to secure the coveted championship trophy.

The Apex Legends champion at the Esports World Cup will take home $600,000, along with 1,000 Club Championship points. The runner-up will receive 750 points and $300,000, while the third-place team earns $200,000 and 500 points. The fourth-place team will claim $150,000 and 300 points, and fifth place will receive $125,000 and 200 points.

The prizes continue for teams placing from 6th to 8th, with rewards ranging between $60,000 and $100,000 and between 50 and 150 points. There are also cash prizes for the remaining placements—no one walks away empty-handed—with prizes starting from $3,000 for the last-place and second-to-last teams, all the way up to $50,000 for 9th place.
