Europe’s most alternative continental competition reaches its thrilling conclusion as Chelsea and Real Betis battle for the 2024/25 Conference League title!

The fourth edition of the UEFA Conference League — Europe’s third-tier continental tournament — has reached its final chapter! Real Betis and Chelsea will go head-to-head in the 2024/25 Conference League final, scheduled for Wednesday, May 28. In addition to the excitement of a major final, the match also brings plenty of opportunities for sports betting and entertainment.

Kick-off is at 4:00 PM (Brasília time) at the Municipal Stadium of Wrocław, in Poland. But before the referee blows the opening whistle, check out this special guide prepared by Blaze. You'll find out how each team made it to the final, who the favorite is, and where to watch. Let’s dive in!

Real Betis in the 2024/25 Conference League

This is Real Betis’s first European final in over a century of club history — and what a journey it has been. After finishing 7th in the 2023/24 La Liga, Betis secured a spot in the Conference League playoffs.

Their debut came against Ukrainian side Kryvbas, winning 2-0 away and increasing their lead at home with a 3-0 victory. They struggled a bit in the group stage, finishing only 15th in the general league standings, forcing them into another qualifying round for the knockout stage.

There, they defeated Belgian side Gent 3-0 away, though they lost 1-0 at home — but the aggregate score was enough to advance. In the Round of 16, they drew 2-2 at home with Vitória de Guimarães but crushed the Portuguese side 4-0 away.

Next came the Polish club Jagiellonia in the quarterfinals. Betis won 2-0 at home and earned a 1-1 draw in the return leg. In the semifinal, they beat Fiorentina 2-1 in Seville and managed a 2-2 draw in Italy to secure their spot in the final.

Chelsea in the 2024/25 Conference League

A traditional European powerhouse with two Europa League titles, two Champions League trophies, and even a Club World Cup, Chelsea now seeks to add another continental trophy to its cabinet. After finishing 6th in the last Premier League season, the Blues landed in UEFA’s third-tier competition.

But they didn’t disappoint. Chelsea eliminated Swiss side Servette in the playoffs with a 3-2 aggregate win, then entered the league phase with confidence. They won their first match 2-0 and lost the second 2-1.

After that, the Blues won all six of their league phase matches, topping the group with 18 points and advancing directly to the Round of 16. There, they took down Copenhagen with a 2-1 win away and a narrow home victory.

Up next was Legia Warsaw. Things got trickier, but a 3-0 away win gave them the upper hand, even after a 2-1 home defeat. Before the final, Chelsea dominated Swedish side Djurgårdens with a 4-1 win away and a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.

Head-to-Head Record

Despite being two well-known clubs in Europe, Chelsea and Real Betis have only met four times in history. The first encounter came in the 1997/98 Cup Winners’ Cup quarterfinals, where Chelsea won both legs, advancing with a 5-2 aggregate score.

They met again nearly a decade later in the 2005/06 Champions League Group G. Chelsea won 4-0 at Stamford Bridge, while Betis claimed a narrow win at the Benito Villamarín. That gives Chelsea three wins and Betis one in their historical duels.

Who Will Win the 2024/25 Conference League?

Once the ball starts rolling, anything can happen — but the odds give us a clue of what to expect. Of course, remember that these numbers may shift as the match progresses. There are several betting options available for the big final.

As of now, 1x2 odds during regular time have Chelsea at 1.79 to win, with Betis at 4.60 and a draw at 3.45. When it comes to outright winner markets, Chelsea is the clear favorite with odds of 1.37. That doesn’t mean Betis won’t put up a fight — the Spanish side sits at 2.85 to lift the trophy.
