Honor of Kings 2025 Esports World Cup’s Schedule

The MOBA developed by TiMi Studio Group will host one of the biggest tournaments at the EWC: eleven days of intense matches between July 15 and 26. Each phase will take place on the following dates:

  • Group Stage (Upper Bracket): July 15–18
  • Group Stage (Lower Bracket): July 17–19
  • Last Chance: July 19
  • Group Kings: July 20
  • Playoffs: July 24–26

Honor of Kings at the 2025 Esports World Cup’s Tournament Format

Arena of Kings will feature four phases at the EWC 2025, each with specific rules. The tournament starts with the Group Stage, where the 18 teams are divided into four groups. Matches are best-of-three (Bo3) and follow a double-elimination format.

Each group qualifies only two teams. One team qualifies through the Upper Bracket, while the remaining teams battle in the Lower Bracket for the second spot.

Next, the teams that secured second place move on to the single-elimination Last Chance round. Here, a single Bo5 (best-of-five) match determines who advances.

The Group Kings phase features only Upper Bracket teams and is used to determine playoff seeding. These Bo3 matches do not eliminate any team.

Finally, the Playoffs begin, featuring Bo7 (best-of-seven) matches in the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Grand Final, and Third-Place Match. From this stage onward, it’s win or go home.
